Food Trucks In The Valley

The weekends aren't the only time for fun his September. How about getting your food and drink on for a good cause on a Thursday night? If that sounds good, mark your calendar for Food Trucks In The Valley happening at the Shelton River Walk on Thursday, Sept. 18th from 4 to 8pm.

The event is being hosted by The Lower Naugatuck Valley Parent Child Resource Center and is sponsored by Avalon Shelton, Bricks + Barley Tavern and Black Hog Brewing.

The event is free and 10% of the proceeds from each vendor will support PCRC's programs and services that serve children and families who have undergone severe trauma, abuse or neglect.

Activities for the kiddies (and maybe some child-like grown ups) include face painting, hula hooping and candy art with more to be announced. Plus there will be a car show including themed cars for kids and special appearances by "B.B." of the Bridgeport Bluefish, "Rocky" of the New Britain Rock Cats and "Storm" of the Bridgeport Sound Tigers.

Quit Your Day Job and Monster Eats Pilot will be providing some live tunes and WPLR will be there with goodies and more music.

So what are the eats?

Phew, that sounds like a delicious evening packed with some family-friendly fun.

Give the Food Trucks In The Valley Facebook page a Like and you'll be entered for a chance to win a $10 coupon to use on food/drinks. Winners will be announced at the PCRC beverage table.
