Welcome! I'm Alicia. In a nutshell, I am a passionate home cook on a mission to inspire and encourage people to know where their food comes from, to know what's in it and to savor the flavors of fresh, real ingredients.
I am the culinary columnist for the Tribuna Newspaper, a biweekly trilingual print and online publication in Connecticut. I've also been a featured guest on WTNH's CT Style program as well on WTNH's Good Morning Connecticut.
My husband, Renato, is my partner in crime. As you can tell, he's the rocker of this duo. We are pretty much always together and are always ready to eat some good food and tell a good story.
On Local Food Rocks, we explore the "local food scene" with everything from seasonal recipes to people features to reviews and events.
